چکیده

In the low temperature environment generated by supersonic flow in process of laser assisted retardation condensation isotope separation for BCl3, molecular isotopes BCl3 and carrier gas (rare (RG): He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe) can form BCl3:RG dimer via contact collision process. The mechanism relationship between concentration absolute involving molecules are great significance regulating selecting parameters. this work, based on analytic description anharmonic interaction potential function BCl3:RG, considering two-body three-body induced association dissociation dimers, dimers is obtained at a range 20–40 K. results as follows. dominant formation range. When initial molar fraction 0.01–0.10, changes approximately linearly with indicating that not only determines theoretical upper limit concentration, but also dominates chamber about 20 K, BCl3:Kr largest, concentrations other presented. Furthermore, we explain using simple model scale adjusting parameters energy stretching vibration frequency dimer.

DFT study of dimers of dimethyl sulfoxide in gas phase

Density functional (DFT) calculations at M05-2x/aug-cc-pVDZ level were used to analyze the interactions between dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) dimers. The structures obtained have been analyzed with the Atoms in Molecules (AIMs) and Natural Bond Orbital (NBO) methodologies. Four minima were located on the potential energy surface of the dimers. Three types of interactions are observed, CH•••O, CH•••...

Comparative DFT study of van der Waals complexes: rare-gas dimers, alkaline-earth dimers, zinc dimer, and zinc-rare-gas dimers.

Recent interest in the application of density functional theory prompted us to test various functionals for the van der Waals interactions in the rare-gas dimers, the alkaline-earth metal dimers, zinc dimer, and zinc-rare-gas dimers. In the present study, we report such tests for 18 DFT functionals, including both some very recent functionals and some well-established older ones. We draw the fo...

Nondipole Effects in Photoionization of Rare Gas Atoms

We present a discussion of octupole and other O(k2) (k = 2π/λ, where λ is the photon wavelength) corrections to to the angular distribution of photoelectrons from noble-gas atoms. These corrections are characterized by four parameters ∆β, λ, μ, and ν constrained by λ+μ+ν = 0. As an example, we consider photoionization of n = 2 shell of neon for photon energies below 2 keV. The resulting angular...

Laser-induced electron diffraction for probing rare gas atoms.

Recently, using midinfrared laser-induced electron diffraction (LIED), snapshots of a vibrating diatomic molecule on a femtosecond time scale have been captured [C.I. Blaga et al., Nature (London) 483, 194 (2012)]. In this Letter, a comprehensive treatment for the atomic LIED response is reported, a critical step in generalizing this imaging method. Electron-ion differential cross sections (DCS...

Non-additive non-interacting kinetic energy of rare gas dimers.

Approximations of the non-additive non-interacting kinetic energy (NAKE) as an explicit functional of the density are the basis of several electronic structure methods that provide improved computational efficiency over standard Kohn-Sham calculations. However, within most fragment-based formalisms, there is no unique exact NAKE, making it difficult to develop general, robust approximations for...
